1. Our Tuning Services

Shift Performance provides professional vehicle tuning services designed to improve your car's performance, fuel efficiency, and responsiveness. Our services include:

  • ECU/TCM Remapping

  • Performance Diagnostics

  • Data-Logging and Review

  • Specialized Coding Solutions

2. Vehicle Suitability

Before tuning, ensure your car is in good working order. Let us know about any known issues, past problems, or recent repairs that might affect performance tuning.

Modifying your car's settings, including ECU remapping, could void your manufacturer's warranty. Shift Performance is not responsible for changes to your warranty coverage.

To provide comprehensive protection, we offer a free drivetrain diagnostic with every tune. While rare, performance tuning can sometimes reveal existing mechanical problems. This complimentary diagnostic provides added peace of mind.

3. Performance Enhancements

We strive for significant performance improvements based on your goals and your vehicle's unique characteristics. Our methods and solutions are highly reliable. However, exact results cannot be guaranteed, and outcomes may be affected by the following factors:

  • Existing mechanical condition

  • Fuel quality

  • Previous modifications

4. Payment Options

  • Deposit-Based: Pay a 20% deposit upon booking. Settle the remainder upon service completion.

  • Pay After Service: Enjoy flexibility by paying once work is completed to your satisfaction.

We accept:

  • Card payments (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

  • Contactless payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

  • Cash

  • Bank transfers

5. Protecting Your Car and Our Work

We employ industry-standard practices, top-quality tools, and meticulous care during the tuning process. Modifying your car inherently involves altering factory settings. While mechanical failures or unintended outcomes are extremely unlikely, Shift Performance cannot be liable except as described below.

In the rare event, clear evidence substantiates that our tuning directly caused an issue, we'll work with you to rectify the problem, issue a partial refund, or find a suitable solution. Ultimately, Shift Performance reserves the right to determine appropriate action.

Tuning may impact manufacturer warranties. By using our services, you acknowledge that the manufacturer may disclaim repair claims stemming from alterations.

To safeguard both parties, consider undergoing a complimentary pre-service diagnostic. In the event of post-tuning complications, these records, potentially in conjunction with an assessment from a manufacturer-certified mechanic, aid in clarifying the root cause

6. Customer Data

We may collect and store contact information, diagnostic data, and vehicle details related to our services. We uphold strict confidentiality.

 

Collected data solely serves the following purposes:

  • Personalized service communication

  • Record keeping for follow-up or warranty

  • Service improvement (anonymized for case studies and analysis)

We will never distribute or sell your information for marketing purposes.

7. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

We're confident in our work and stand behind the quality of our tuning services. We want you to be completely satisfied with the results.

 

Here's how our guarantee works:

  • Step 1: Let's Talk First: If you're not entirely happy with your car's performance after our tuning, please contact us within 30 days of your service. We'd like to understand the specific issues you're experiencing and explore ways to adjust the tune to resolve them.

  • Step 2: Finding a Solution: Depending on the situation, we may offer further adjustments or revisions to your tuning with the goal of achieving the results you desire.

  • Step 3: Refund Requirement: If, after working together, we cannot find a mutually agreeable solution that addresses your concerns, we'll issue a full refund for the tuning service. To be eligible for the refund, we will restore your vehicle's original tune (calibration).

8. Revert-Back for Warranty Service

We understand that you may need to take your tuned vehicle to a dealership for warranty work. To provide peace of mind, we offer a free

Revert-Back for Warranty Service.

  • How it Works: Contact us to schedule a revert-back service. We'll return your car's original factory calibration, allowing you to bring your vehicle to the dealership without concerns about your manufacturer's warranty potentially being affected due to the custom tune. After your warranty work is complete, we can re-apply your custom tuning.

  • No Fees: Our Revert-Back for Warranty Service is completely free of charge.

9. Limitation of Liability

Shift Performance uses industry-standard practices, high-quality tools, and takes utmost care during vehicle modifications. However, tuning inherently alters factory settings, and unintended consequences could occur. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, Shift Performance's total liability arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for those services. This includes, but is not limited to, claims for damages of any kind, or losses related to performance outcomes.

10. Dispute Resolution

Shift Performance values customer satisfaction and aims to resolve any concerns fairly. In the event of a dispute related to our services, the following steps will apply:

  • Step 1: Informal Negotiation: Please contact us directly to explain the issue. We will make a good-faith effort to find a mutually agreeable solution.

  • Step 2: Mediation: If a direct resolution isn't reached, we may agree to involve a neutral mediator. We will use the following mediation service providers:

  • Step 3: Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): In some cases, we will use the Citizens Advice Bureau (https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/) to facilitate alternative dispute resolution methods.

  • Step 4: Small Claims Court: For claims within the specified financial limit, Shift Performance LTD will pursue action through the Small Claims Court as a last resort. You can find details about the process on the government's website: https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money

11. Force Majeure

Shift Performance is not liable for delays, service interruptions, or changes in outcomes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to, acts of God, war, government restrictions, labour disputes, epidemics, pandemics, or other major disruptions.

12. Intellectual Property

All custom tuning maps, software configurations, and calibration files developed by Shift Performance remain our exclusive intellectual property. Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, customers may not duplicate, share, or utilize our tuning solutions for commercial purposes.

Important Disclaimer:

Modifications AdBlue, or EGR deletes or other related coding could significantly impact your vehicle's emissions systems and potentially render it non-compliant with environmental regulations or affect the validity of your manufacturer's warranty.
